Weather4D Pro v1.2.0 was submitted to the App Store.
In association with the team of Great Circle, Weather4D offers access to the model GCWF (Great Circle Weather Forecast), the highest resolution model with direct download on iPad and iPhone.
This GCWF forecast model is a high resolution local area model nested in the GFS, improving spatial and temporal resolution as well as the local effects (e.g. Venturi effect, breezes,...). GCWF is exclusive to Weather4D Pro on iPad and iPhone.
The domain covers a very large and continuous European area from the Baltic sea to the Isle of Malta. Additionally the North Atlantic Islands (excluding Cabo Verde) and the Caribbean are also covered by the GCWF model.

Weather4D v1.2 was submitted to the App Store.
The models used are those produced by the FNMOC Navy.
Two models are available:
- Global model (FNMOC WW3 GLOBAL): mesh of 1°x1°, 7-day forecast and 3 hours step, available to all oceans.
- Regional Model (FNMOC WW3 MED): mesh of 0.2°x0.2°, 3-day forecast and 6 hours step. Available for the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, NE Atlantic Ocean around Europe and the Baltic Sea.
The forecast data (height, direction and period) are refreshed twice a day (7AM UTC & 6PM UTC).
CAPE therefore gives a measure of the instability of an air mass. The CAPE is a parameter used by meteorologists to estimate the potential for violence of a storm.

- Details for the wind:
New mode of representation of the wind isoareas. The symbol of the wind is now customizable on land and at sea You can choose the barb or the arrow with a color and size variable or not. The display mask (land, sea) is individualized by setting weather.
- Details for temperature:
New mode of representation of the temperature isoareas. The interval of isotherms is adjustable from 1°C to 10°C. The display mask (land, sea) is individualized.
- Details for precipitations:
New mode of representation of precipitation isoareas. An option to display the numerical values of rainfall based on an adjustable threshold. Gradient mode you can set the max in mm/hr or inch/hr.
- Details for the cloud cover:
New mode of representation of the cloud cover by isoareas. The display mask (land, sea) is individualized.
The target is positioned at the location of the tap. It can move with a sensitive area large enough not to have to have your finger on it. It makes it disappear with a long tap on the target.
The entry point of the application is the weather map like the iPad. Assistance and general settings are accessible through the settings menu and selection of weather zones through a side panel "rolling". The options in the area are also directly accessible without going through the editing mode from the list of zones.
